Why could it be that people barely make it through the week? Because of stress! My personal acoustic for STRESS is, So many things to do with Too little time. Running out of energy. Exhausted because of Sleepless nights doing Same things over and over again. Stress can lead you to become depressed. Barely one week apart when 2 celebrities decided to take their own lives. Kate Spade at 55 and Anthony Bourdain at 61. Did you know that suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US? Around 45,000 Americans die each year by suicide. That's about 123 suicides per day or 5 suicidal deaths every 10 minutes. What should you do when you're stressed out? In this part 2 of our Series, "In My Father's Arms", let's take a look into the life of another father in the Bible. David is not just a king, he is also a father and a musician. After David committed the sin of adultery and murder, his fellowship with God was broken and that stressed him out. But before his stress can lead him to be depressed, he wrote Psalm 51. In verse 12 he said, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me". God is the source of Sustaining Grace. If you cast your cares on the Lord, He will sustain you. Reading His Word will sustain you. And you must stand firm in His grace. Hear more of it here!
